The Mountainside Playhouse at Bousquet presents The News in Revue:
“Casual dinner, not much money –
And a show that’s hip and funny.
Read the Times, on every page
All those stories on our stage!
We will skewer EVERYTHING!
Mitt will dance and Newt will sing.
Every single candidate
Who is looking to 0h Eight.
Hil’ry votes to fund Iraq
(Bet she’d like to take that back!)
Rudy wants to join the fight-
John McCain is moving right…
Though we have misplaced Osama
Everywhere we find Obama.
Musically, we’ll tease and vent
Watch us nail the president!
Till ’08, he’s just lame ducked.
But till then, the country’s [engaged in an unfortunate situation]
All this news in our revue,
Live onstage and it’s all new!
How much fresher can you get?
It’s news that hasn’t happened yet.”
The News in Revue is excited to spend its 14th smash season in the Berkshires at a brand new home. Roomy and comfortable with great sight lines, the Mountainside Playhouse at the foot of the historic Bousquet Mountain Ski Resort provides the perfect atmosphere to sip a glass of crisp chardonnay or nibble on a decadent dessert while laughing at the clever take on world events.
New this year is a casual sunset barbeque where patrons can feast al fresco on traditional off-the-grill fare. It’s a perfect way to enjoy the Berkshires countryside as part of the News in Revue experience. The optional sunset barbeque is $15.00 and can be paid for at the door. Please select the $40.00 “Dinner & Show” ticket option as it allows the staff to know how much food to prepare. The Dinner begins at 6:30pm and you can arrive no later than 7:30pm to be served. Patrons have the option of dining outside or inside. Patrons that order dinner in advance will have to pay the $15.00 at the door for the all you can eat BBQ.
Seating is assigned according to date of purchase.
Really yummy desserts, coffee, wine and beer will be sold in the theater.
