“Fools”

Fools is a funny, quirky story about Leon Tolchinsky, a young teacher who travels to the small Russian village of Kulyenchikov to teach Sophia, the daughter of the village doctor. He quickly discovers that the entire village has been under a curse for 200 years that makes everyone incredibly foolish. As Leon falls in love with Sophia, he realizes that he has only 24 hours to break the curse or he will become foolish too. Along the way, he meets a collection of wonderfully strange villagers, leading to plenty of misunderstandings, ridiculous situations, and heartwarming moments.
