About This Show

The Building Stage Company presents the world premiere of Noir.

City streets, neon lights, and rain; silhouettes, shadows, and sexual obsession; fedoras, flashbacks and femmes fatales; murder, lies, and a nearly impenetrable plotline. This is the classic black and white world of 1940’s film noir. Noir isn’t just the style in which a story is told…it is the story itself. The company has assembled Noir out of clips of classic movies from the 1940’s with additional material being drawn from the writings of Raymond Chandler and various commentators on the genre.

This new piece brings to a close the company’s cycle of original works inspired by iconic American themes and images.
