About the Show
In this heart-wrenching and haunting world premiere drama with music by MPAACT resident playwright Shepsu Aakhu, a city is lost and its residents are left floating across America – from sea to shining sea. Reminiscent of the events surrounding Hurricane Katrina, Trouble the Water tells the story of a company of lost souls and their efforts to find their way out of the water and back to each other. But deeper lay the questions of faith, family, and the legacy of our collective trauma. Mignon McPherson Nance directs.
