New York City
My Mañana Comes is a fun and high-energy production that exposes the travails of immigrant workers and how their quest for the American Dream often clashes with society’s views on immigration. Within the kitchen of an elegant New York restaurant as its background, this play is a snapshot of the lives of four busboys from different social backgrounds that cling to dreams of life beyond their dingy back-of-house grind while juggling delicate entrees, serving fussy customers, and facing an opportunistic manager. My Mañana Comes was a Lucille Lortel Outstanding Play nominee, Drama Desk Outstanding Play nominee, Outer Critics Circle John Gassner Award nominee and received its critically acclaimed off Broadway debut by the Playwrights Realm in 2014. In addition to Teatro Vista, the production is also slated to be performed at San Diego REPertory Theatre, Marin Theatre Company and ArtsWest Seattle.
