Stockyards Theatre Project’s production of Busting Out!, a voluptuous evening of comedy, is an affirmative challenge of the Beauty Myth. The evening’s hilarious performances are about breaking free from the limitations that society imposes on women: the idea that there is a certain way women are supposed to look, act, speak, and think in order to be acceptable and loveable.
Featuring Barbie’s Dream House and One Hand Clapping by Marki Shalloe, The Real Life Adventures of Lizzy and Rilla by Katie Carey Govier and *Results Not Typical by Kara Lashmet.
Busting Out! is a celebration of being yourself–the best version of yourself.
