Eleemosynary delves into the relationship of three generations of women: Dorothea, a grandmother who has sought to assert her independence; her daughter Artie who has tried to break free of her mother’s domination; and Artie’s daughter Echo, a talented and sensitive child abandoned by Artie for an upbringing by Dorothea.
