Oh, what fools these mortals be! Hole in the Wall brings the Bard back to its theater to spin a tale about love, both true and trite, everlasting and momentary, wise…and otherwise. Helena loves Demetrius, who only has eyes for Hermia, who is madly in love with Lysander, who loves her back but fears her father, who favors Demetrius, who can’t escape Helena. A Midsummer Night’s Dream is a fairy tale that tells how a man can love a woman more than life, how a woman can love a man more than reason, and how, sometimes, the most noble of creatures can fall in love with an ass.
