“CMEE is thrilled to be partnering again with Bay Street Theatre on programming for young families," says Steve Long, CMEE Executive Director. "It’s imperative for arts, cultural, and social service organizations in the East End to collaborate because when we pool our efforts, we become even more successful in fulfilling our missions. Working with Bay Street Theatre, as well as with Long Island Head Start, the Retreat, and other East End nonprofits, helps CMEE realize its mission to enrich the lives of children and families and strengthen the East End community."
The audience will see Martha transform from a dog into a person right before their very eyes. It’s a very interesting and sweet story that appeals to all ages, even adults. The audience will start out laughing and screaming, the actors are singing loudly on the stage, but at the end of the 55-minute show, they will be mesmerized and completely silent. The moral of this story is "kids, stand up for what you believe in, and for the dogs who can’t talk.
