Manju Bhatt Mehta, “First Lady of the Sitar” is from the famous Bhatt family of musicians in Jaipur, India and was a senior disciple of the famous RAVI SHANKAR. She excels as a female sitarist in a traditionally male domain and is a critically acclaimed professional Sitarya. Mehta learned her craft very young from brother, Sitar maestro Shashi Mohan Bhatt. Tabla Maestro Gourisankar Karmakar performs with her on Tabla who has accompanied many famous artists from around the world and is seen on India’s Radio and Television.
