For more than 30 years, Tom Chapin has enlightened audiences with his life-affirming original songs, but his new adult album, The Turning of the Tide, is his most personal yet. The album features touching songs about his mother, father, and grandson Miles, along with an emotional song in tribute to his older brothers, James and Harry, and one of his favorite songs, “And Loving You,” by Tom Paxton and Bob Gibson. Tom’s career includes Broadway (Pump Boys and Dinettes), off-Broadway (Cotton Patch Gospel, Harry Chapin: Lies & Legends) and television (host of Make a Wish). In addition, he has contributed songs to National Public Radio’s Morning Edition, poking fun at social and scientific trends in the news.
