The Laramie Project
$16.00 General Admission
In October 1998, a college student was out for a little R&R — a break from the books and a time to socialize with friends. He was in a coma by morning — beaten, tied to a fence and left for death to claim him five days later. His name was Matthew Shepard and he was killed because he was gay.
Playwright Moisés Kaufman and his Tectonic Theatre Project traveled to Matthew’s hometown where they observed, questioned, listened and felt the range of reactions from its citizens in order to develop The Laramie Project, which received its 2000 world premiere at the Denver Center Theatre Company.
