Oprah Winfrey presents The Color Purple, a soul-stirring musical based on the classical Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Alice Walker and the Oscar-nominated film by Steven Spielberg. It is the unforgettable and inspiring story of a woman named Celie, who triumphs over tremendous odds to find joy in life and her true inner beauty.

January 18, 6:00PM: Designed for businesses, families and patrons wanting a "red carpet experience," VIP Evenings are held throughout the year at some of Denver’s most anticipated Broadway touring shows. This VIP Evening includes a pre-theatre cocktail party, a scrumptious dinner in the incomparable Donald R. Seawell Grand Ballroom and the best seats in the theatre to The Color Purple. Proceeds benefit the DCPA’s Arts in Education programs, which serve 75,000 students annually.
