After a World Premiere in London, Moira Buffini’s Silence receives its American Premiere at the Magic Theatre. The show immerses the audience in the year 1000, a world of Vikings and Celts on the verge of a new world order, where sexuality and violence combine in a drama of civil war and political marriages. Although set in a pagan world with tribes long since disappeared, this production still seems chillingly contemporary.
