Julie Harris stars in a revival of her tour de force performance in The Belle of Amherst 25 years after the play was first produced. Widely considered one of the finest theatrical performances of our time, Harris depicts 19th century poet Emily Dickinson as a vivacious and joyful woman who, depsite being reclusive, used the language of poetry to “dwell in possibility.” Charles Nelson Reilly once again directs William Luce’s play, which opens the Laguna Playhouse’s 80th anniversary season.
The opening night performance on Saturday, September 9 begins at 7:30pm.
