The story of Esther has all the elements of a perfectly crafted script. Heroes, villains, romance, plot twists, humor, mystery, in other words, it is a playwright’s dream. But the amazing part of this story is its historical foundation. Like Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, this biblical story is perfect for the theatre. The songs range from comical fun to heart warming. The creators of Star of Persia combined their years of professional experience, bringing their unique gifts to the process: John Lewis (Director/Writer) wrote the script and collaborated on the music and lyrics. Becky Broyles (Vocal Director/Writer) collaborated on the music and lyrics using her gifts as actor and singer. Corey Hirsch (Musical Director/Arranger) collaborated on the music and lyrics and arranged the music. Kelly Keys (Choreographer) created the intricate and energetic choreography.
