A colorful world populated by gamblers, nightclub performers and righteous do-gooders awaits audiences when PCPA Theaterfest presents the classic musical comedy, Guys and Dolls.

A musical fable of Broadway, Guys and Dolls, features music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and a book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows, and is based on a story and characters by Damon Runyon. The musical follows gambler Sky Masterson who makes an improbable wager with Nathan Detroit, whose floating dice game is in dire need of cash. The bet is lothario Sky must woo and win any “doll” Nathan chooses. Detroit picks icy Salvation Army officer Sarah Brown. The classic score includes the pulsating “Luck Be a Lady,” the silky “If I Were a Bell” and the joyous “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat!”
