Christmas Is…A Musical Memory

PCPA Theaterfest’s 40 th anniversary begins with a PCPA original production by Brad Carroll and Jeremy Mann, Christmas Is…A Musical Memory. This family holiday show is filled with music and dance and celebrates the traditions of the American family during the holidays across generations. It follows the journey of an immigrant Germany family at the dawn of the twentieth century as they commemorate their first Christmas in America – a bittersweet celebration of their homeland’s traditions in their new surroundings. And, despite the tumultuous decades that follow, we’ll see the growing family and its descendents reunite each year to rejoice in the season and their traditions through song. Christmas Is… includes such holiday treasures as “Silent Night” and “O Tannenbaum” as well as such modern day tunes as “Rockin’Around the Christmas Tree,” and “Jingle Bell Rock.”
