About This Show

NYC, Boston, Washington D.C., and Chicago have had their chance, and now its LA’s turn to experience this gritty, beautiful, tainted love story. Tro Shaw and Dana Friedman are spear-heading this venture, and encourage you to join us. Help us make Cherry Smoke happen.

Cherry Smoke won McManus the Princess Grace award in 2006, and has been produced internationally, as well as throughout the United States. We are bringing it to Los Angeles for its West Coast Premiere this spring.

As the first joint project with the Lucky Mellon Collective (LMC), it launches the exciting future for Carnegie Mellon Drama alums and friends to collaborate and produce our own work. The mission of LMC is to provide opportunities for collaboration, creation and continued artistic growth for CMU school of Drama alumni as well as other like-minded artists within the Los Angeles community. This includes ongoing workshops, productions, readings, films, and fund-raising events, all aimed to create and promote a focused and high level of artistry.

Starring Tro Shaw of Broadway’s latest hit, West Side Story. Directed by award winning director, Dana Friedman.
