About the Show
A city newly delivered from civil ruin. An aspiring philosopher king rules by rational decree. A noblewoman answering not to the law of kings but to the law within. The tragedy is cosmic, personal, and absurd: a lesson in entropy, free will, and the unknowable laws that govern both the city and the psyche. In the collision of obedience and conscience, there is no victor, only catastrophe and the occasional joke as the gods laugh in silence.

Theosophy Hall Theater in Downtown LA is launching its inaugural production, Sophocles' 'Antigone.' This project marks the public unveiling of a fully preserved 100-year-old Victorian theater and lodge that has been silent for decades. We are forming a new resident theatre troop with access to a permanent stage, dedicated creative spaces, and a long-term repertory initiative.
