The Road Theatre Company presents And Neither Have I Wings to Fly, by Ann Noble, directed by Scott Cummins.
1950’s Ireland. The Donnelly sisters have just lost their mother, and both are ready for their lives to begin. Kathleen teeters on the eve of her wedding, torn between her sweet-tempered fiance and a dashing young actor. Eveline struggles with conflicting priorities: a sense of responsibility for her lonely widowed father Peter, a coveted university scholarship, and emerging feelings for a new man in her life. When their mother makes a ghostly appearance to lend a supernatural hand, the stage is set for conflict – tempers flair and long held secrets are revealed. In the end, Kathleen must make her choice, Peter must make his peace, and Eveline must discover her wings to fly.
