Greenwich Village, 1989. Ed "the Skull" Murphy has been named Grand Marshal of the New York City Pride Parade. It's a little late, since he died four months ago. Ed is charming, foul-mouthed and tough as nails. He claims he was at the Stonewall Inn the night it all began, and that he's the reason it happened. His hecklers call him a criminal, an extortionist and worse. So Ed makes the audience a deal: he'll tell you everything, and you decide whether he's a hero.
