ROCK THE BRONX | Rock, Funk & Punk | Unbrok3n – Taino NY

The Bronx is known as the “cradle of hip hop” and “el condado de la salsa,” but rock music has a long history in the soundscape of the borough. Experience a night of rock with Rock the Bronx, featuring two Puerto Rican-led bands: The UNBROK3N and Taino. NYC punk rock trio The UNBROK3N brings furious guitar riffs, driving bass lines, and hard-hitting drums to songs about heartbreak, resilience, and victory. Guitarist and lead vocalist Alex LaSalle, bassist Jasmine Maldonado, and drummer Joseph Cenney fill the stage with rebellious energy, humor, and the chemistry of a band forged through friendship. Taino was formed by Frank Ocasio and Frank Cotto, fusing Latin rhythms, rock guitar, funk grooves, soul, and improv. Taino connects the culture of Afro-Cuban and Latin music with the raw energy of rock, funk, and soul.
