About This Show

The Ariel Group and New Repertory Theater present An Evening of Music and Mirth for New Orleans to benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Drawing on the traditions of the variety show and reflecting the theatrical and musical spirit of New Orleans, this show features internationally renowned performers in dance, cabaret, storytelling, clowning and acapella.

In 2001, this ensemble was named one of Boston’s top ten cabaret events for their Twin Towers Orphan Fund benefit. They have reunited to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity’s efforts to rebuild the Gulf region. Featuring Boston’s highly acclaimed cabaret singer, Belle Linda Halpern, Kenny Raskin, star clown with Cirque du Soleil and Broadway’s Beauty and the Beast, tap dancer and juggler Rob Salafia and the nation’s hottest acapella quartet, Where’s the Band?, along with special guests from New Rep and elsewhere, this event is guaranteed to delight while raising money for a worthy cause.
