I Am My Own Wife

Based on the life of Charlotte von Mahlsdorf, Doug Wright’s Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning play, I Am My Own Wife, tells the story of a transvestite who lived openly and survived both the Nazi and East German Communist regimes. Actor Tomé Reinhart stars in this brilliant one-person show, portraying 35 characters.

All ticket proceeds benefit Birmingham AIDS Outreach and The Friends of Cats and Dogs Foundation.
