A.C.T. Announces Cast, Creative Team for Volleygirls Premiere

The American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) has announced the cast for their upcoming production of Robert Ackerman’s Volleygirls, March 12-28, to be directed by W. D. Keith.

Ackerman’s play takes a look at a down-and-out girls high school volleyball team, who hatch a wild plan to turn their team around to face their biggest rival. Volleygirls marks the second collaboration between the two arms of the A.C.T.’s Conservatory, the Master of Fine Arts Program and the Young Conservatory.

Featured MFA Program students include James Bigelow (Coach), Nick Gabriel (Dirk, Ref, Phil, Ben), Kelsey Venter (Jess), and Cat Walleck (Sally, Carla, Lauren). Featured Young Conservatory students include Zoe Burnbaum (Crash), Madeleine Kelley (Jocelyn), Caitlin Martin (Liv), Arianna Papalexopoulos (Marisol), Katie Rich (Ingrid), Jacqueline Toboni (Katie), and Colin Woodell (Xavier).

The creative team will feature Lilana Duque-Pineiro (scenic design), Callie Floor (costume design), Sara Huddleston (sound design), and Ian Smith (lighting design).
