Edelstein is currently the Director of The Public Theater’s Shakespeare Initiative in New York City, and is directing the theater’s upcoming production of The Twenty-Seventh Man. He was previously Artistic Director of Classic Stage Company.
His many directorial credits include The Winter’s Tale, Timon of Athens, As You Like It, Julius Caesar, The Merchant of Venice, All My Sons, and The Underpants.
Edelstein is also the author of Bardisms: Shakespeare for All Occasions and Thinking Shakespeare.
