Ali Ewoldt to Star in Solo Anne of Green Gables
The drama will play off-Broadway in January.
Recent Phantom of the Opera star Ali Ewoldt will headline a solo adaptation of Lucy Maud Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables for off-Broadway's Royal Family Productions.
Adapted and directed by Chris Henry, Anne of Green Gables: Part I will be performed January 24-February 11 at the Royal Family Performing Arts Space. Ewoldt will be joined by dancers Brooke Averi, Kiersten Foster, Mindy Lai, Kara Menendez, and Stephanie Young, with Lorna Ventura serving as choreographer.
The creative team includes Amanda Armstrong, Lars Jacobsen, and Bart Kuebler (original music), Cheyenne Sykes (lighting, scenic, and costume design), Chelsie McPhilimy (projection design), Chet Miller (sound design), and Jessica Wu (associate director).
A workshop presentation of Part II will take place January 31-February 10.
