Cleveland Play House has announced casting for Ken Ludwig’s The Game’s Afoot (or Holmes for the Holidays), to run November 25 – December 18. Aaron Posner will direct the production.

The play imagines that the early 20th century actor William Gillette is entertaining company members of his own production of Sherlock Holmes at his Connecticut home at Christmas, which becomes the setting for a murder he must solve.

The cast will feature Donald Sage Mackay as Gillette, along with Patricia Kilgarriff, Eric Hassom, Lise Bruneau, Rob McClure, Mattie Hawkinson, Sarah Day, and Erika Rolfsrud.

The creative team will include Daniel Conway (scenic design), Thom Weaver (lighting design), Linda Roethke (costume design), and James C. Swonger (sound design).
