On Monday, April 16, Tennessee Williams’ In Masks Outrageous and Austere opened at the Culture Project with David Schweizer at the helm.
Opening night guests included Lee Breuer, Hamish Bowles, Alan Buchman, Clint Holmes, Evander Holyfield Jr., Erica Jong, Norma Kamali, and Larry Kramer, Maude Mitchell, Carl Rumbaugh, and Victor Syrmis.
The cast features Shirley Knight as Babe Foxworth, the richest woman in the world, held captive with her gay husband (Robert Beitzel) and his young lover (Sam Underwood) by the Gideons (Scot Charles Anderson, Kaolin Bass, Ward Horton), a security team for Kudzu Chem, the corporation in control of her wealth. The company also features Alison Fraser, Connor Buckley, Christopher Halladay, Jonathan Kim, Jermaine Miles, and Pamela Shaw.
