Lin-Manuel Miranda and Emily Blunt Step Into the World of Mary Poppins Returns

The new film hits the big screen December 19.

A new clip from the upcoming film Mary Poppins Returns, starring Emily Blunt and Lin-Manuel Miranda, has been released. Watch it below:

Mary Poppins Returns features a screenplay by David Magee from a story by Magee, Marshall, and John DeLuca. The film stars Blunt as the title character, with Miranda, Meryl Streep, Ben Whishaw, Emily Mortimer, Pixie Davies, Joel Dawson, Nathanael Saleh, Julie Walters, Colin Firth, and Angela Lansbury in supporting roles. Dick Van Dyke, who played Bert in the original film, will also appear.

The story is described as follows: "In Depression-era London, a now-grown Jane and Michael Banks, along with Michael's three children, are visited by the enigmatic Mary Poppins following a personal loss. Through her unique magical skills, and with the aid of her friend Jack, she helps the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives."

Rob Marshall's upcoming sequel to the classic 1964 musical is set to be released on December 19.
