With the help of LaGuardia Community College (LAGCC) acting students, Ozen Yula’s For Rent will receive a full run beginning April 11 at LaGuardia Performing Arts Center (LPAC). To physically workshop the piece, LPAC partnered with LAGCC students, Yula, American playwright Les Hunter, and Lark Play Developmental Center. For Rent runs through April 21.

In For Rent poor, rural teenagers come to Istanbul to find wealth and prosperity. But in the dark, dangerous public parks of this cosmopolitan city, they are led into prostitution and violence. Their voices are strong, brutal and alive.

Yula’s plays have been translated to English, German, French, Italian, Finnish,
Polish, Bulgarian, Bosnian, Japanese, Arabic, and are being performed by the National Theaters, Municipal Theaters, university theaters and private companies all around Turkey.
