Aron's Olivier-nominated My Brilliant Divorce will make its New York City debut at the New Ohio Theatre with previews set to begin March 15 for a limited run through April 8. Opening night is set for March 20.
Melissa Gilbert (Little House on the Prairie) stars in the play, which follows New Yorker Rachel Lipsky Haringay post-divorce from her British husband after he discloses his Argentine lover, "Rosa the Posa." Now alone in London, Rachel is left to deal with an empty nest, a disapproving mother, a misogynous lawyer, some dubious counselors, a bad case of hypochondria, and the specter of poverty. With only the family dog Axl for company, Rachel mourns her marriage, picks up the pieces, and learns to live whole again.
The creative team for My Brilliant Divorce will feature John McDermott (set design), Jessica Kasprisin (lighting design), M. Florian Staab (sound design), Nikki Delhomme (costume design), and Eileen Connolly (props design).
