Broadway-hopeful musical Song of Solomon is offering a benefit performance at the Actors' Temple‘s Annual Charitable Gala on November 17. During the evening, the Temple will honor producers Edmund Gaynes, Kurt Peterson, and Eva Price as well as Mike Libien, a member of the Actors’ Temple's board of directors.
Song of Solomon is described as "a touching, epic romance based on the biblical tale of the same name set in ancient Israel." Created by Andrew Beall and Neil Van Leeuwen, the show stars Robert Cuccioli, Melissa O’Neill, and Jesse Manocherian. Markus Potter directs, with musical direction by Eugene Gwozdz.
The Actors’ Temple/Theatre is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, but is in need of funding to keep its doors open and services available to the local Jewish and performing arts communities.
