Classic Stage Company has announced its mainstage offerings for its 2012 season.
The season will begin with Anton Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard (November 9-December 18), with John Turturro as Lopakhin and Dianne Wiest as Ranevskaya, to be directed by Andrei Belgrader.
It will be followed by Bertolt Brecht’s Galileo (February 1-March 11), starring F. Murray Abraham, to be directed by Brian Kulick, and William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (March 28-May 6), starring Bebe Neuwirth as Titania, to be directed by Tony Speciale.
In addition, the CSC Young Company will present Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing (March 6-18) and the company’s “Open Rehearsal” series will feature Shakespeare’s Antony & Cleopatra (April 16, 23, 30).
