The Vineyard Theatre honored actress Linda Lavin at the organization’s annual gala, held Monday, March 12 at the Hudson Theatre. The event also celebrated Lavin’s forthcoming return to Broadway in The Lyons, which originated at the Vineyard, and begins previews April 5 at Cort Theatre.
The gala, hosted by Charles Busch and Julie Halston, also saluted playwright Nicky Silver and City National Bank.
Guests and performers included Lavin’s husband Steve Bakunas, along with Jim Caruso, Kathleen Chalfant, Patricia Clarkson, Stephanie d’Abruzzo, Colman Domingo, Jill Eikenberry, Judy Kuhn, Liz Larsen, Julia Murney, Sarah Paulson, Tony Roberts, Ilona Saic, Marlo Thomas, Michael Tucker, Sharon Washington, Aaron Weinstein, Celia Weston, Gregory Wooddell, as well as Hunter Bell, Susan Blackwell, Heidi Blickenstaff, and Jeff Bowen, of the Vineyard’s current production, Now.
