Tate Donovan to Join Frances McDormand in David Lindsay-Abaire's Good People on Broadway
The play focuses on a woman in an impoverished Boston neighborhood who hopes an old fling (Donovan) might give her a fresh new start. Additional casting and creative team will be announced at a later date.
Donovan is best known for his performances on Damages and The O.C.. He made his Off-Broadway debut in the original 1990 MTC production of Richard Greenberg's The American Plan. His other credits include Amy's View on Broadway, Lobby Hero Off-Broadway, and Lindsay-Abaire's Rabbit Hole at the Geffen Playhouse.
McDormand won an Oscar for her performance in Fargo. Her Broadway credits include her Tony Award-nominated turn in A Streetcar Named Desire, as well as The Country Girl, and Awake and Sing!. Among her many Off-Broadway appearances are The Sisters Rosensweig, To You, The Birdie!, The Swan, and most recently, North Atlantic.
