Pipeline Theatre Company to Present Timberlake Wertenbaker's The Ash Girl

Tony Award nominee Timberlake Wertenbaker's play The Ash Girl is to receive a production by award winning Pipeline Theatre Company. The production, directed by Jessica Doyle, will play at The Connelly Theater, April 18-May 5, with an opening on April 21.

An adaptation of Grimm's Cinderella, The Ash Girl is a mythic world where the seven deadly sins writhe in the forest, consuming everything in their path, while a young girl hides amongst the ashes. Ash Girl must fight her way through the fires to find her happy ending.

Wertenbaker's Our Country's Good was nominated for six Tony Awards in 1991. She is also the recipient of many other awards including a Writer's Guild Award, London Critic's Theater Circle Award, a Laurence Olivier/BBC Award, and New York Drama Critics' Circle Award. Pipeline Theatre has previously produced Wertenbaker's The Love of The Nightingale
