Perfect Crime, New York's Longest Running Play, Has Been Running a Really Long Time

10,648 performances later, Perfect Crime, a tense murder mystery and NYC's longest-running show, is celebrating its 27th anniversary today, April 18. Perfect Crime plays at the Anne L. Bernstein Theater in the Times Square's Snapple Theater Center.
Catherine Russell has starred in the show since its first performance and has a mention in the Guinness Book of World Records for her tenacity. The actress has spent a full two years of her life on stage and has acted opposite 57 love interests.
Perfect Crime is the tale of attractive psychiatrist and suspected cold-blooded killer Margaret Brent, her wealthy husband, and a deranged patient as well as a handsome detective who seems to be falling in love with her. In addition to Russell, the current cast of Perfect Crime includes John Hillner (La Cage Aux Folles), George McDaniel (The West Wing), and Richard Shoberg (All My Children). Jeffrey Hyatt directs.
