The concert will offer samples from Gasparini's latest projects, including musical adaptations of the film It's Kind of a Funny Story for Universal Stage Productions and the award-winning children's book The Whipping Boy, both of which he is developing with 2016 Tony nominee Alex Brightman (School of Rock), plus a commission for Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures.

The concert will feature performances by Brightman, Alex Wyse (Spring Awakening), Will Roland (Dear Evan Hansen), Julia Mattison (Brooklyn Sound), Gerard Canonico (Brooklynite), Andrew Kober (She Loves Me), Drew's sisters Kasie Gasparini (Mamma Mia!) and Chloe Gasparini, Drew's jazz partner Louis Sacco, Jeremy Morse (Waitress), Brandon Ellis (The Bandstand), Keith White (A Bronx Tale), Larkin Bogan (Hair), Rozi Baker (Bonnie & Clyde), Preston Sadleir (Next to Normal), Maddie Shea Baldwin (Bright Star), Jake Brinskele, Jen Brissman, Josh Daniel (The Book of Mormon), Spencer Glass, Melissa Rose Hirsch (The Bad Years), composer Zack Zadek (The Crazy Ones), and the band Shanley: Anna Ty Bergman, Kerri George, and Melanie Brook. They will be accompanied by Drew Gasparini, Justin Goldner (bass/mandolin), Eli Zoller (guitar), and Jon Epcar (drums). The evening is produced by Erica Rotstein.

Gasparini recently wrote music for Everything in its Place: The Life and Slimes of Marc Summers, a one-man-show by Brightman that premiered at Bloomington Playwrights Project in April 2016. He was also a contributing composer for the fictional musical Hit List on the NBC television series Smash. Additionally, he performs with Alex Brightman, F. Michael Haynie, and Andrew Kober as the comedy group The (M)orons.
