Maura Tierney to Return to FX’s Rescue Me

Maura Tierney will rejoin FX’s series Rescue Me in her role of Kelly McPhee, according to a report on TVGuide.com. The actress has already completed filming some episodes that are scheduled to debut during the series’ seventh season in 2011. Tierney’s last appearance on the show came during its fifth season.

Tierney is currently appearing in The Wooster Group’s North Atlantic Off-Broadway. Her theater credits also include Neil LaBute’s Some Girl(s) and Nicky Silver’s Three Changes. The actress may be best known for her portrayal of Nurse Abby Lockhart on ER and for her work on NewsRadio.

The sixth season of Rescue Me will premiere in late June on FX.
