Marvin Hamlisch, Angela Lansbury, Bebe Neuwirth, et al. Set for Career Transition for Dancers’ Silver Jubilee

Additional information has been released about Career Transition for Dancers’ 25th Anniversary Silver Jubilee, to be held at New York City Center on Monday, November 8 at 7pm.

As previously reported, the gala will be hosted by Angela Lansbury.

Celebrity participants will include Charlotte d’Amboise, Marvin Hamlisch, Bebe Neuwirth, Ann Reinking, Chita Rivera, Edward Villela, and Karen Ziemba.

Artists from some of America’s greatest dance companies — including Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, American Ballet Theatre, The Joffrey Ballet, MOMIX, National Dance Institute, and Parsons Dance — will perform.

In addition, the Career Transition For Dancers Awards for Outstanding Contributions to the World of Dance will be given to the organization’s founders: Actors Equity Association, American Guild of Musical Artists, Screen Actors Guild; as well as an award each to The Barth Family and the CTFD President Cynthia G. Fischer. The Capezio Ballet Makers Dance Foundation will also present legendary choreographer Trisha Brown with the 59th Annual Capezio Dance Award. Twyla Tharp will receive the Rolex Dance Award.

Following the program, there will be an anniversary supper with the stars at The Grand Ballroom at The Hilton New York.
