Marg Helgenberger, Christine Lahti, and Martin Short are among the actors who tell the stories of exonerated death row inmates as they join the rotating cast of Culture Project‘s tenth anniversary revival of The Exonerated in the coming weeks.

Bob Balaban directs Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen’s play, a dramatization of the real-life stories of six individuals who were sentenced to death and later freed amidst overwhelming evidence of their innocence.

The performance week of October 9 will feature John Forte, Kathryn Grody, Richard Masur, and Danton Stone.

Beginning October 16, Short, Steve Earle, Joe Morton, and exoneree Kerry Max Cook will appear in the production. Short will play Cook in the October 16-18 performances, with Cook himself telling his story October 19-21.

October 23-28 will include Lahti, Morton, and Frank Whaley. The final week of the show’s run will feature Helgenberger, Morton, and Chris Sarandon, who was in the production’s opening cast.

The non-rotating company of six includes Jim Bracchitta (Prosecutor 2), Amelia Campbell (Sandra Cook), Bruce Kronenberg (Prosecutor 1), Curtis McClarin (David Keaton), April Yvette Thompson (Georgia Hayes), and JD Williams (Robert Earl Hayes).
