Glenn Close, Ethan Hawke, and More Attend Public Theater Gala

The Public Theater held their annual gala on Monday, June 11, with a concert production of Elizabeth Swados's groundbreaking 1978 musical, Runaways, at the Delacorte Theater. Walking the red carpet were a number of stars including Glenn Close, Claire Danes, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Ethan Hawke, and more. Check out photos in the gallery below.

Runaways is directed by Sam Pinkleton, with choreography by Ani Taj and creative advisement by Jeanine Tesori. This production had its premiere in June 2016 as part of New York City Center's Encores! Off-Center series.

A free performance for the public will be tonight, Tuesday, June 12, at the Delacorte Theater.
