Galecki, Huff, Lister-Jones, White Set for Beane's The Little Dog Laughed
The play is about what happens when an up-and-coming actor and his over-zealous agent become entangled with a sexy young drifter and his naïve girlfriend. Beane, artistic director of The Drama Dept., is the author of As Bees in Honey Drown, The Country Club, and Advice from a Caterpillar. He also wrote the screenplay for To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar.
The show's creative team includes Allen Moyer (set design), Jeff Mahshie (costume design), Donald Holder (lighting design), and Lewis Flinn (sound design). Ellis is a four-time Tony Award nominee for Twelve Angry Men, 1776, Steel Pier, and She Loves Me. He has also directed numerous productions for Second Stage, including the revival of That Championship Season.
Galecki is best known for his role of David on the hit TV series Roseanne. He has appeared on the Chicago stage in The Drawer Boy, Pot Mom, and Galileo. Huff starred on Broadway in Take Me Out and The Lion in Winter. Lister-Jones appeared at P.S. 122 in Codependence: A One-Woman Show. White was seen Off-Broadway in Bad Dates, Dinner With Friends, and Spike Heels; she also co-starred in the ABC sitcom Grace Under Fire.
