Open public auditions will be held for the New York production of Fuerzabruta (“Brute Force”) on July 28 and 29.

The show, which is running at the Daryl Roth Theatre, has been created by Diqui James, Gaby Kerpel, Alejandro Garcia, and Fabio Daquila, all of whom worked on De La Guarda. As with De La Guarda, which had a long run at the Daryl Roth, the show focuses on movement; it includes a man running full throttle through a series of moving walls, individuals racing to connect from opposite sides of a whirling sail, and performers frolicking and interacting in a watery world suspended just above the audience.

Fuerzabruta premiered in Buenos Aires in 2005 and has since been seen in Lisbon, London, Bogota, Edinburgh, and Germany.
