Dinner Party: Ebersole, Loudon, etc. Officially Announced for LCT's Dinner at Eight
Lincoln Center today made official the cast for its revival of Dinner at Eight, the George S. Kaufman and Edna Ferber comedy first produced in 1932. Like Morning's at Seven -- another classic American comedy with a time-themed title recently presented by LCT with a John Lee Beatty set -- Dinner is an ensemble piece: The cast for this Gerald Gutierrez-directed project weighs in at a whopping 28 actors.
Familiar names include Christine Ebersole, a Tony Award winner for 42nd Street; Dorothy Loudon, Miss Hannigan in the original production of Annie; and Side Show's Emily Skinner. Byron Jennings, who will play Larry Renault, returns to the dinner table: Aside from Broadway credits including The Invention of Love and the recent Noises Off revival, Jennings had a role in the Roundabout Theatre's Nathan Lane-starred production of The Man Who Came to Dinner.
