Full casting and creative team have been announced for the Roundabout Theatre Company's production of John Van Druten's comedy Old Acquaintance at the American Airlines Theatre, June 1-August 19. The show, to be directed by Michael Wilson, will open officially on June 28.

As previously announced, the show will star Margaret Colin as Katharine Markham and Harriet Harris as Mildred Drake. Diane Davis, whose credits include Festen and Regrets Only, will play the role of Deirdre Drake; she replaces the previously announced Lily Rabe. The supporting cast will also include Stephen Bogardus as Preston Drake, Corey Stoll as Rudd Kendall, Cynthia Darlow as Susan, and Gordana Rashovich as Sabrina.

The creative team includes Alexander Dodge (sets), David Woolard (costumes), Rui Rita (lighting), and John Gromada (sound). Wilson, the artistic director of Hartford Stage, was last represented on Broadway by Enchanted April.

Old Acquaintance is a comedy about two childhood friends who have grown into very different adults, although they are both successful authors. The play premiered on Broadway in 1940 at the Morosco Theatre, starring Jane Cowl and Peggy Wood. The 1943 film version starred Bette Davis and Miriam Hopkins. Another film loosely based on the play, titled Rich and Famous, was released in 1981; it starred Candice Bergen and Jacqueline Bissett, and was directed by George Cukor.
