Audra McDonald, Cynthia Nixon, Blair Underwood Set for Drama League Awards

The Drama League has announced the Honorary Co-Chairs for the 78th Annual Drama League Awards, which will be presented on Friday, May 18, at the Marriott Marquis Times Square.
They include Nina Arianda, Christian Borle, Norbert Leo Butz, Kathleen Chalfant, Raúl Esparza, Rosemary Harris, Jeremy Jordan, Christine Lahti, Linda Lavin, Norm Lewis, Judith Light, Audra McDonald, Cynthia Nixon, Denis O’Hare and Blair Underwood.
The Honorary Co-Chairs serve as ambassadors for The Drama League Awards and welcome the attendees of the Awards Luncheon at a cocktail reception before the event.
As previously reported, the ceremony will be hosted by Stockard Channing and John Larroquette.
Also as previously reported, nominations will be announced by Raven-Symoné, currently making her Broadway debut in Sister Act, Smash star and Broadway veteran Megan Hilty and Justin Long — currently starring on Broadway in Seminar — on Tuesday, April 24, at 11am at Sardi’s.
The Drama League Awards pay tribute to the season’s best performers by including the nominees of The Distinguished Performance Award on a dais. The ceremony will feature more than 50 stars from the 2011-2012 Broadway and Off-Broadway season.
