Injured Spider-Man Dancer Daniel Curry Files Court Papers Following Accident
Daniel Curry, the 23-year-old performer who was badly injured when his foot got caught in a trapdoor during the August 15 performance of Broadway’s Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, is taking to New York’s legal system to preserve the lift system that he expects will be altered following his accident.
Representatives for the musical released a statement on August 16 contending that “equipment malfunction was not a factor in the incident.” Curry, who appeared in the production as a Spider-Man dancer, was taken to Bellevue Hospital — where he still remains — after suffering fractured legs and a fractured foot.
